It is extremely hilarious how HUM TV constantly thinks that Mother-in-laws are the horror in everybody's lives. I have so far seen FOUR dramas of this channel that have shown dreadful Saasu Maas (mother-inlaws)
"Khoya khoya chaand" where 1st first the mother forces her pretty boy to marry his wife's sister .....since his wife died during child birth and evidently his wife's sister loves the newborn baby dearly. After his second marriage due to a misunderstanding the second wife takes the baby and runs away from home.
Seriously instead of trying to understand the motives why she did that, this particular mother-in-law tells the girl's family that we only want our grandchild back and rest their daughter should never come back to her husband. One wonders who the hell is she to dictate the decent guy trying to live happily with his first love.
Yes there is a twist here, before he met his first wife, he was actually in love with his second wife not knowing they are sisters!!!
2nd Second award goes to "Aseerzadi" mother-in-law totally after the second wife so that she can marry off her beloved niece to her son for the third time!!
3rd Third award goes to mother-in-law "Halki so khalish" where the husband seems to be silently bearing the money hungry wife, but his mother instead of talking sense into the girl is forcing his son to get married and have a second wife.
4th Fourth award goes to the victim cum avenger mother-in-law of "Kankar" where this particular mother-in-law has no issues when her son gets divorced for the first time due to domestic violence and is happily marrying him to her niece. When he does the same thing to his second wife he is seen giving him a lecture and the son rightly pointing out "you should have given me this lecture when i was doing it with my first wife...."
I wonder why HUM TV thinks that by showing negative female characters they can change this dying society for a better life. As before positive female roles are a dire need. As only women can bring this change and first we women need to CHANGE ourselves.
